Pressure Washing Questions
What Is The Difference Between Pressure Washing & Soft Washing?
Pressure washing (or power washing) uses high-pressure water to bust away dirt and grime, best reserved for hard, resilient surfaces such as brick, concrete, and stone. Soft-washing leverages LOW pressure, where we rely on cleaning agents to eat away at organic materials such as mold, mildew, and algae. This process is best suited for more delicate surfaces such as vinyl siding, furniture, decking, and more.
Is Pressure Washing Safe For My Property?
Yes! We take great care to inspect all surfaces before beginning service and refrain from cleaning any previously damaged areas to avoid further disruption. For delicate surfaces such as vinyl siding, awnings, or newly installed materials, we refrain from using high pressure to ensure your property is left better than we found it!
Will Soft-Washing Kill My Grass Or Plants?
You may have heard stories of plants and grass looking burned after a house wash. This is the result of chemical overspray not being thoroughly rinsed after cleaning. We make sure to pre-soak and post-rinse all surrounding vegetation when performing a house wash. This ensures no vegetation surrounding your home will be harmed following the soft-wash process on your home!
How Often Should I Have My Property Cleaned?
We recommend having your home washed at least once per year to every other year. This provides consistent protection from harmful algae, mold, dirt/grime and other contaminants.
How Long Does Pressure Washing Take?
Each job is unique! The time it takes to complete is dependent on many factors, such as the size of the surface or home and the amount of buildup. Rest assured, we will work on your property until we deliver the best results possible. On average, most jobs will last between 1 - 4 hours depending on the tasks at hand.
Are Your Services Safe For Plants, Animals, And The Environment?
Yes, our cleansers are 100% biodegradable and our process is 100% safe for plants and animals.
Can Pressure Washing Damage Wood?
Yes, pressure washing can damage wood if not done correctly. Regular pressure washing uses high-pressure water to remove all sorts of build-up from the surface it comes into contact with. However if it is not done at the right pressure, pressure washing can damage your surfaces; for example, if you use too much pressure on your fence or deck it could leave gouges in the wood. We prefer the soft washing method when cleaning your wood surfaces, such as your deck and fence, where we rely on specialized cleaning agents to do the work.
